NEW BIRTHDAY CARD LINE IN PROGRESS......

It's the oddest places where an Idea will strike with me.. That's why I always have a sketch book either in my purse or in the car. Was at the dealership waiting on an oil change for my car.. When I thought.. I haven't done any new designs for a Birthday Line.. Well, put my pencil to paper and off I went..Right, next to me was my youngest sketching away on a "Bunny with Carrots" and then I look over to see her sketching "Bathing Suit Designs"..LOL Her mind is constantly going..she amazes me each and everyday ..The sketch below is one of hers.. She just came in the office and sat down and drew a Rooster or a Chicken as she calls it..(I know she's my daughter but for 7yrs I was impressed!!)
All 3 of my girls have artistic talent.. But, all in 3 different directions. My oldest Maddie has in artistic eye when it comes to photograpy.. My second oldest Morgie.. loves fashion..so her artistic avenue goes in that direction...It's amazing to see all 3 of them in action :)

Gotta a little sidetracked didn't I ???!! Sorry, just a bit proud of my girlies!!! I did get though a few sketches at the dealership done. And I know I'll be changing them along the way.. But, here is a preview of one..What do you think?

Kutztown Festival

Wednesday we headed to Kutztown for their annual Festival.. Lots of neat crafters making their wares, animals and  food  did I mention FOOD!! This is Berks County here.. We know how to eat :) It was a hot day but the kids and my parents had a great time.. Sampled handmade Jellies, dips and even some local wine.

My oldest Daughter Maddie took my camera and off she went.. She's my "Roaming Photographer" as I call her. (Great-Grandma Mary would have been so proud).

One stand especially kept my kiddos attention.. Me I've grown up with alot of this.. I still remember seeing a Cow's Tongue in my grandparent's fridge on day.. My grandpa used to love them sliced and made into sandwiches..Mind you I'd quickly shut the fridge door and pretend I didn't see it.. YUCK!! I did want to though take a pic of something I didn't see before.. "Pickled Pig's Snout!" But, instead took the pic of "Pickled Pigs Feet" But, if you look closely to your left you will see some snouts..They had pickled everything, lamb's tongues, guinea gizzards, etc.. Unreal..
I also, did take a pic of an adorable little Amish boy.. Love his blue eyes!! The kiddos kept telling me to put my camera down but I couldn't resist..

Next, was pics taken my by oldest mentioned above.. she loves animals.. So, off we went to the Children's petting zoo..

Morgie feeding the Baby Goats..
Doesn't this Bunny look like an Easter Card?! Adorable!!

Decorating...

I love the beach..to me a it's getting out of Dodge and going to another world.. To sit at the beach with your eyes closed..breeze blowing thur your hair, listening to waves crashing to the shore..kids laughing and sea gulls singing away.. It's peaceful place indeed :)

I decided our bedroom and bathroom needed an update.. We colored it a calm, peaceful, happy beachy blue. The work in the bathroom is still a work in progress..new tiles for the floor etc..So, instead I decorated..( alittle impatient..LOL.. this is where I become one of the kids.. lol) Mind you the only thing I needed to purchase was the 2 frames which I found at the Dollar Store and I did enlarge photos that my daughter took. Otherwise, I had everything else on hand..I'm a big shell nut..So, each year the kiddos and I go on excursions at the beach and find lots of neat and interesting shells :)

The saying I found while blogging.. ( "If you want to know how much i love you count the waves")I can't remember where I found it.. If I come across it again I will let you know.. All, I did there was paint the saying on an old frame. The 2 dollar store frames I repainted and put in 2 Scallops shells that were a found on one of our excursions.

The budding photographer in our family (Ms. Maddie).. snapped these photos..her Great Grandma Mary would be so happy to see someone following in her footstep :)

In our bedroom I put up an old shelf and painted it and gave it a new life..Then took photos of the girls at the beach a few years back and framed them..And continued to decorate with all the fancy shells we collected over the years.

So, that's it for now.. Lots more to do and lots more open spaces on the walls to fill with great beachy goodies. I'll keep you updated as the progress continues :)
